Hi, I’m Karen, the K in K & A Creations! All of this is really Andi’s fault. She introduced me to beading 4 years ago and I was immediately hooked! Being a little fashion diva I have always been into fashion and jewelry. In fact, my motto is that you can never have too much jewelry or too many pairs of shoes! I’ve been involved in doing art and craft work for most of my life and I have recently found I have an obsession for beautiful beads and semi-precious stones! For nearly two years now I have been taking a silver jewelry making class here in Lincoln. It is a lot more labor intensive but very enjoyable to do. The A in K & A Creations stands for Andi – and this is all Karen’s fault! We had such fun beading, and our pile of finished products grew so fast – along with our stashes of beads – that we decided we needed to find a way to finance our addiction. Karen is the one who had the great idea of trying our luck at local arts & crafts shows, and much to our surprise our little enterprise really took off! We really enjoy working together, and love to figure out new designs, develop new techniques and share our creations.
